WHEN ARE THEY AVAILABLE?
The puppies will be ready to go to their new homes on April 1, 2006, if you live locally. If you require shipping, most airlines require the puppies to be at least 8 weeks old, so they will be ready to travel on April 15, 2006.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PUPPIES:
There are 3 girls and 1 boy in this litter of puppies. The mother is a Maltese and the father is a Yorkshire Terrier. This hybrid breed is sometimes called Yorktese or Morkie. Two of the puppies, 1 girl and 1 boy, are black with a large white mark on their chest. One of the girls is nearly a solid black with just a pin-prick of white on her chest. The other girl is a color that reminds me of the chestnut color you see on horses. Naturally, we cannot guarantee that the puppies will end up the way they look now. We expect to see some longer hair develop over time, but who knows?
SALES PRICE FOR THE YORKTESE / MORKIE / MALTESE-YORKIE HYBRID PUPPIES:
As these puppies are bred for their qualities as pets and companions, we are asking $500.00 for each of the black puppies. The chestnut female we are asking $550.00. We will happily hold the puppy of your choice for a $150.00 non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance is due before your puppy leaves our possession. Be sure to read the conditions of the deposit and the conditions of sale below. If you live near us, we will happily meet you at a place convenient for both of us to save you some driving time. As long as that distance is less than 75 miles round trip, there is no extra cost. Anything over that and we need to negotiate a fair transportation fee.
By the way, nothing is ever carved in stone. We will consider every reasonable offer. Our primary concern is that these loving puppies find homes with loving families. If you know your family is one of those, please talk to us.
HELP US FIND GOOD HOMES:
If you can help us find a good home for these puppies, we will give you a $50.00 credit on the price of your puppy. We can only give one "finder's fee" per person. You may print out our puppy flier (once we have it available online) and post it in places to help us sale the puppies. Make sure you write your name on the back of each of the contact tabs located at the bottom of the flier. If you forget to do that, we will have not way of knowing if it was our flier or yours that found these puppies a home.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR DEPOSIT:
You may place a deposit on the puppy of your choice by mailing us a US Postal Money order or by sending the deposit via PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account set up, it is easy to do, and it is free. Using PayPal will allow you to use any major credit card or debit card to make the deposit and/or send the total payment for your new puppy. We shall accept deposits on a first come basis. If you are setting up a new PayPal account, you need to let us know your intentions as we may need to place a one day hold while you set up the account with PayPal. Let us know if you need any help in setting up the account.
CONDITION OF DEPOSIT:
Your $150.00 deposit will hold the puppy of your choice until you take physical custody of the puppy, or until the puppy ships, whichever is appropriate.
If you pick up the puppy, your deposit expires 7-days after the deposit is made, or when the puppy turns 8-weeks old, whichever is later.
If you arrange to have the puppy shipped to you, your deposit expires 7-days after the deposit is made, or when the puppy turns 9-weeks old, whichever is later. We will not ship a puppy until he is 8-weeks old. Make sure to read about the requirements for shipping a puppy below.
All deposits are non-refundable, unless the health of the puppy is such that our vet advises against selling the puppy. If this happens we will happily refund your deposit and provide you with a copy of the vet's diagnosis. Naturally, if you wish to wait for the puppy's health to improve, we will gladly work with you.
We may also refund a deposit if we for any reason we feel that the potential new owner or new home is unfit for the puppy. We take the well-being of all of our animals very seriously, and we place a high value on the quality of life the puppies can expect. If we come to such a decision, we will refund your deposit and give you a written explanation as to why we have chosen not to place one of our puppies into your care.
Other extreme circumstances are handled on a case-by-case basis. Naturally, if you are unable to complete the transaction but find another buyer, we will gladly refund your deposit once we receive the other buyer's deposit. Just make sure the other buyer alerts us that they want the puppy that you reserved. You will need to let us know this in advance as well.
We want to make this transaction as easy for you and for us as is humanly or caninely possible. Again, our major concern is that the puppies go to a family that will love them and help them thrive.
CONDITION OF SALE:
All purchases require a "Puppy Contract" which we prepare and which you must sign. If you arrange shipping for the puppy, you must print the contract, have your signature notarized and mail us a hard copy of the document. We cannot release the puppy until we receive the original document. We encourage you to review a sample of the Puppy Contract in PDF format prior to making your deposit.
One part of the contract that you need to read is what you agree to in the future with one of our puppies. If for any reason, at any time in the future, you find that you are unable to properly care for the puppy/dog, we require that you give us the first opportunity to adopt the puppy/dog. When we use the term "adopt" we mean that we will take custody of the puppy/dog without any type of compensation. We do not want to see one of our puppies end up in a shelter or pound because they have become a burden on you or your family. Should such an eventuality arise, you have the comfort of knowing that your puppy/dog will have a good home, or that we will place it in a good home for you. Naturally, such subsequent placement will be done on a no cost basis to the new owner.
BONUS WITH EACH PUPPY:
As you can tell, we love our animals. We share their pictures with our family and friends. We want you to have the same opportunity, and will set you up a sub-domain at NOTAGZ.COM so that you can post your own pictures. In fact, you may use the space any way you like. We do not provide any software, so you will need to know how to post your pictures using HTML or some other web language. The only caveat is that your content may not be vulgar, encourage any type of illegal activity, or basically anything else that would make your great-grandmother blush. You may also have email addresses set up with the space we offer. There is no limit on space, bandwidth, or email accounts. If you prefer to get set up with your very own domain name and your own web site, I will put you in touch with a gentleman that will help you get started with that. You would be surprised at how inexpensive it is to buy your own domain name and web service. In a lot of cases, you can get what I have for less than $40 or $50 per year.
SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS:
If you wish to have your new puppy shipped to you, we will work closely with you to make sure that this happens in a manner that is safe and comfortable for the puppy.
Naturally, you are responsible for all costs involved with shipping the puppy. These costs include you providing us with an airline approved live animal crate appropriate for the animal, paying the additional cost involved in obtaining a health certificate from our vet, and paying for the shipping of the puppy. We will gladly pick up an appropriate shipping crate that meets the requirements of the airline. You only need to include the money for that with your payment for your puppy.
The puppy must ship out of the Dothan, AL airport. Currently, Delta is the only airline servicing that airport. Please make sure that you understand their regulations about the crate, weather conditions, the time the puppy needs to arrive in Dothan, and the time that you need to be at the airport on your end to take custody of the animal. Ordinarily, Delta will allow you to pay for shipping when you pick up the puppy. We will transport the puppy to the Dothan airport for you one time at no additional cost. If anything prevents the puppy from being sent once we arrive in Dothan, each subsequent attempt will incur a $35.00 handling fee that must be paid before we leave to transport the puppy to the airport. In other words, if we arrive in Dothan and the airline determines that the weather conditions between Dothan and your airport are outside of their acceptable parameters for shipping a puppy, then we will have to take the puppy home and try again another day. The Dothan airport is a 40 mile drive from where we live, and usually Delta requires the puppy to be in their custody before 6 a.m. This is the reason for the extra handling fee for subsequent trips. We will do everything in our power to make sure that we do not waste any trips: however, Delta has the final say on whether the puppy flies that day or not.
HOW TO PLACE A DEPOSIT FOR THE PUPPY OF YOUR CHOICE:
Once we post individual pictures of the puppies, each of them will have a number designator. There are 3 girls and 1 boy. You may choose whichever puppy you prefer, and we will hold that one for you. We expect that you will have questions about personalities of each one, and we will do our best to answer those questions. Please read through the information on the picture page about each puppy, as we will briefly describe each puppy based on our observations. Rest assured, we will not accept a deposit on any puppy that we feel will not make a good pet. Fortunately, every puppy in this litter is going to make someone a very loving and cuddly member of their family.

- Girl # 1 - Black w/Tan & Brown Highlights w/ Large White Chest Marking This little girl was the first to arrive on the scene. Momma could not complain too much about her, as momma had only a few contractions before this pretty little girl made her grand entrance into the world. The little girl was a good predictor for what was to come, showing the other puppies that there was no need to stay inside when there was so much to out here. She looks nearly identical to the little boy that came along less than an hour later. She is mostly black, but starting to show some highlights of brown and tan. She cuddles with you and will fall asleep in your hands. She also seems to take the first-born duties seriously, as she does not mind pushing her litter mates into positions more suited to her own needs. She seems to have a special attachment to the chestnut girl, as the two of them seem to stay cuddled together quite a bit. As she reaches her 1-month birthday, this girl stands out as the leader of the litter. She is the first to explore beyond the confines of her little area. She is also the first to investigate when one of her siblings makes noises of distress. Having said that, this little girl loves to cuddle and loves to play. Though she just cut her first teeth on her 1-month birthday, it does not stop her from grabbing your fingers and pulling. This little girl has quickly taken on the role of "leader of the litter." She is a little on the bossy side, but in a loving way. She is still very much the caring sort that is first on the scene when one of her littermates whimpers or cries. She is VERY spunky and loves to wrestle and puppy-fight. She is eating Puppy Chow mush with no problems at all. In fact, she is the first one at the plate and usually the last to leave. She does not fight with her brother or sisters over the food. When she runs out of food in front of her, she backs off and waits for the others to finish. Only then does she go back for seconds. |

- Boy - Black w/Tan & Brown Highlights w/ Large White Chest Marking The second puppy of the litter, this is the only boy. He could almost be the twin of the first born girl, as the two have markings that are nearly identical. Like his older sister, this little guy is pretty active. He moves around the whelping box as if he is exploring his environs. He does not go too far, though, as he likes to cuddle with his mother. He will fall asleep in your hands or under your chin. He does seem to prefer the company of his mother. Perhaps he is the typical "momma's boy." This little fella is about as rambunctious as they come. He spends a lot of time with his bigger sister, following her as she explores beyond their assigned confines. He and his older sister are wrestling buddies, at times they try to fit the head of the other in their mouth. He is so cute when he falls asleep in the middle of one those complicated wrestling moves he likes to use. At 1-month of age, he is quickly establishing himself as the clown of the litter. If you think you are interested in taking this little guy home, you need to get your deposit in on him! If you wait much longer, he will be gone too. This guy is very sweet. His personality is loving and cuddly. He loves to play so much that if he needs a play mate, he wakes up one of the other puppies to play. With such a magnetic personality, how can they refuse him? You should hear his playful growl while he plays. Over the past few days this guy has found his way into the bed to cuddle during his naps. If you want a puppy that will cuddle close and sleep through a hurricane/twister/earthquake, this is the one for you! |

- Girl # 2 - Chestnut w/White & Tan Highlights This little girl came out with a color totally unexpected. It took us a few days to decide what color to call her. We chose "chestnut" because she reminds me horses considered to be chestnut in color. She was the first baby to open her eyes fully, which she did on March 1, 2006. She loves her mother, but she is not afraid to cuddle up in your hands or on your chest and go to sleep. This little girl's face has developed into the face that you expect to see on a doll or stuffed toy. Her looks are striking and she has a little personality that matches those looks. Like the others, she loves to play. She has no problem attacking your hand when she is in the mood for play. When she is ready to sleep she does not apologize for climbing into your lap and falling fast asleep. Some of her sleep positions look uncomfortable, as you can see on the picture page. At the 1-month point, this girl is the smallest of the four puppies. The people that picked this sweet girl got a deal and a half! Her little face is so cute you just cannot quit looking at her. Like her brother, she finds that she likes to cuddle in bed during her naps. Not only does she cuddle, she burrows between your cheek and shoulder. As she falls asleep, you can hear her making little whimper sounds that are so cute! Like her bigger sister, this girl is a firecracker! She loves to play, and she has no problem jumping into the middle of an ongoing wrestling match. If you think the little boy's playful growl is cute, you should hear this tiny girl's ferocious roar! When you hear it, I bet you cannot stop laughing. |
$500.00![]() 1-Week-Old ![]() 2-Week-Old ![]() 3-Week-Old ![]() 5-Week-Old ![]() | - Girl # 3 - Black w/White Chest Markings Born last, this girl came out appearing to be solid black. After we got her dry, we noticed a small white pin-prick-size dot on her chest. As she has grown, she is showing some highlights that are subtly shaded brown. This little girl is the quietest of the 4 puppies. She is quick to cuddle and go to sleep on your chest, or in your hand. It looks like this little girl is going to be the cuddle-queen of the litter. She is just as happy curled up in your lap, or right beside you, as she is playing with her litter-mates. At 1-month old, she is only 1.3 ounces heavier than the smallest puppy. Her coat shines and is very soft to the touch. She actively seeks you out to pet her and rub her belly. Unlike the first two puppies, she does not mind laying on her back while you hold her. A sweeter puppy you have never met than this little girl. She and her chestnut colored sister are going to be the smallest of the litter. It is hard to tell which one will be the smallest, but I strongly suspect they will end up within a few ounces of each other. She has found that napping in the bed is the best way for her. She really is not too picky about where she will cuddle with you. Pick her up, flip her on her back and cradle her like a baby and she will fall asleep in no time. She does not eat much, but she does like her Puppy Chow mush. If the others get into a bit of a feeding frenzy, she backs off and waits for them to settle down some. Then she sneaks back into the feeding area and daintily eats her fill. Since I have talked about the other puppies and their cute growls, I need to point out that this little girl either does not growl, or hers is so soft that you cannot hear it. She will jump into some of the puppy wrestling matches and she holds her own. She uses her small size and her quiet nature to her advantage if she gets trapped on the bottom of the pile of puppies. When everyone else moves off of her, she quietly backs out of the area and then POUNCES back into the fray. I wish the pictures showed her face better. She is so black that getting perfect lighting is very difficult. She has very delicate features and reminds you of a baby doll. |
